so I'm going to show you guys a few reflexology techniques for the hands so the first one that we're going to do is I'm just gonna kiss slide down here over the wrists in the hand and traction his arm and you can see that I'm leaning back with my body and bringing his hand back with me it's hand sandwich so I have one hand on top one hand on the bottom and just hold her an established connection and then I'm gonna go ahead and slide one hand up while I'm holding here at the rest of the other hand and then have my other hand join that I'm just gonna press the PEC attachments and then slide down just kind of acknowledging the arm there if I wanted to you we can also do a little bit of compression using the heel of my palm right there on the PAC's will do my hand to fit that space and then continue compress down working my way from the shoulder to the rest and whenever you apply compression you want to sink into it with your bodyweight and keep your arm nice and straight but not locked just transferring that body weight so you get that pressure and then the next thing that we're going to do is just need the hand so I take my fingertips I'm going to press up into the palm and just slide on top up really pressing in and gliding along the palm hey it's that kneading the next technique that I want to show you is inchworm walkin on each of the fingers so I'm gonna take my pointer finger and my thumb and I'm just going back and forth and I'm gonna do this on the sides of the fingers and I want to have traction as I do this the attraction makes a big difference in how this feels to the person you're working on so the sides and then along the top and bottom and you get traction with each of the fingers which means that you're leaning back and creating some space in that joint along the sides back and forth and then inch we're walking back and forth on the front and back repeating on all of the fingers um and then the front and back just switch hands if you want to and then the next technique that I want to teach you is just relaxing the knuckles so I'm gonna place my thumbs on the top part the dorsal surface of the hand and then on the palmar surface I'm gonna have my fingertips on top of and below each of those knuckles and I'm just gonna go and press up on the knuckle with one hand with my fingers while I'm pushing down with my thumb so back and forth getting some movement in the joints so moving to the next space just back and forth and then moving to the next two joints create some space there and then finally the last two getting some space in there so relaxing the knuckles you could also do this on the metacarpal so you can move down a little bit into the hand and just gently do the same up-and-down motion between the joints getting all those metacarpals moving in the hand breaking up any fascial adhesions okay so the next thing that we want to do is this tractioning is circling of each of the fingers so you see these phalanges so I'm gonna go ahead and just kind of slide up a little bit and I'll be right below their knuckles so just just inferior right there and I'm going to go ahead and traction and rotate one direction and then rotating in the other action I'll slide off next knuckled tractioning circles in one direction and circles in the other and I'm just supporting with my other hand by the joint sliding off and then the next one circles in one direction and then circles in the other direction and then sliding off and tractioning circles in one direction and then circles in the other direction sliding off and then finally I'm gonna switch hands here by the thumb and circle in one direction while tractioning and then circling in the other direction and then sliding off the next thing I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go ahead and interlace my fingers with the clients fingers and with his thumb and I'm gonna support with my other hand right here by the wrist and just apply some gentle compression I'm going to go ahead and pull up tractioning up okay and I'm going to rotate the rest in one direction a few times and then I'll rotate the wrist in the other direction a few times so wrist traction rotation okay the next thing that we're gonna do is called breaking chocolate and we're again just working with the metacarpals mostly so my fingertips are gonna be on the palmar surface and then my thumbs and my thenar eminence are gonna be on that plantar surface so we're gonna go ahead and just kind of move back and forth back and forth getting some movement in there back and forth and then the last thing that we're gonna do right now is called metacarpal meeting so we're just gonna basically need the palm so I'm going to support with one hand on the back surface of his hand and then I'm gonna go ahead and just press in making a fist and just press in and twist pressing in and twist twisting alright so those are nine simple techniques that you can use in hand reflexology we've got the hand sandwich traction we've got the arm relaxation sliding if you if my client has short sleeves I could use a little lotion and glide a little fr äj-- but because he has a shirt on I'm just gonna do some compression it's that compression and then we have the kneading of the hand okay we've got that edge were walking on each of the fingers on all sides and we've got relaxing the knuckles so you guys remember that and we have the traction of the fingers and the rotation each direction and then we have the wrist traction that we did restriction and then we have this breaking chocolate okay and we have finally that metacarpal kneading so making a fist and just kneading into the polymer surface of his hand okay great
