Effective September 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Reflexology Zone Network Inc. (“we,” “us”), operator of ReflexologyZone.net, collects, uses, and shares information when you use reflexologyzone.net (the “Site”).
Information we collect
If your business is listed in our directory
Most directory listings were not submitted to us. They were compiled from public sources such as business directories, professional association registers and practice websites, and they may include a practice name, address, phone number, email address, website and description. If you practise from home or under your own name, that information may also be personal information about you. We publish it so people can find a reflexologist, and we rely on our legitimate interest in operating a directory of businesses that have already published these details themselves.
We may contact you by email about the listing itself: to tell you it exists, to ask you to correct it, or to invite you to claim it. Every such message names who sent it, carries a postal address, and has a working unsubscribe link that stops further messages without you needing to reply or sign in. You can also ask us to correct your listing or remove it from the Site entirely, and we will do it: contact us and say which listing it is. You do not need an account to ask.
- Account information — if you create an account or claim a listing: your name, email address, password (stored hashed), and any profile details you provide.
- Saved items / favorites — the listings, articles, and resources you save. For signed-out users these are stored locally in your browser (localStorage); for signed-in users they are stored in our database and synced to your account.
- Contact submissions — information you send us through the contact form.
- Usage & device data — pages viewed, links clicked, browser type, device type, and similar analytics data. Some of this is collected without cookies and some of it is not — see “Analytics and performance measurement” below for exactly which. It also includes the words you type into the search boxes on the Site. We use those to find gaps in our content: a search that returns nothing tells us what to write next. Search terms are only recorded if you allow analytics cookies, and they are not recorded at all if you decline.
- Approximate location — we may derive an approximate location from your IP address to show locally relevant results and advertising. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see “Cookies” below.
- Messages to a listed business — if you use the contact form on a directory listing: your name, email address, and the message you write. We pass these to that business so they can reply to you, and we copy you on the message so you keep a record. We never show you their email address.
- Business listing submissions — if you add your business to the directory: the practice name, address, phone number, email address, website, and description you enter, together with a record that your account submitted it. A listing is reviewed by a person before it appears publicly. If you practise from home, these practice details may also be your own contact details, so enter only what you are willing to have shown on a public listing.
- Listing photos — photos a listing owner uploads, and the description they write for each. When a photo is uploaded we remove the details a phone or camera embeds in the file, including the location it was taken, and we record in the file that it was published on ReflexologyZone.net with a link to the listing. We do not claim ownership of your photos.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive health information about you. Please do not send us health details through the contact form.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the Site (accounts, favorites, search, directory).
- To respond to your inquiries and support requests.
- To show relevant content and advertising, including location-relevant ads.
- To measure and improve the Site.
- To protect the Site, enforce our Terms, and comply with law.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information with:
- Service providers who operate the Site on our behalf (hosting, database, storage, analytics, email, image generation) under agreements that limit their use of it.
- Nobody, for advertising. We sell and serve our own advertising, so no ad network, exchange or broker receives anything about you, and an ad click is counted on our own server rather than in your browser. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising as those terms are used in laws like the CCPA.
- Legal / safety reasons, where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- A successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
- A business you choose to contact — when you send a message through a listing’s contact form, your name, email address and message go to that business. They are the ones who reply to you, and their reply does not come through us.
Who processes information for us
These are the providers that handle information on our behalf. Each is bound by an agreement limiting their use of it to operating the Site:
- Vercel — hosting, content delivery, and the analytics and performance measurement described below.
- Google — Google Analytics, which measures where our visitors come from and how they move through the Site.
- Microsoft — Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used so we can find broken and confusing parts of the Site.
- PostHog — product analytics, which records which features are used and where people get stuck.
- Supabase — the database and file storage holding accounts, listings, saved items, and images.
- Resend — transactional email, such as claim verification codes and password resets.
- ScreenshotOne — renders the preview image of a practitioner website shown on a listing. Because that image is loaded by your browser, ScreenshotOne receives your IP address and browser type when a listing page displays one.
- Amazon — pictures of products we list from Amazon are shown from Amazon's own servers, as Amazon's affiliate terms require, so Amazon receives your IP address and browser type when a page displays one. When you follow a "Buy on Amazon" link you go to Amazon, and Amazon's privacy notice applies there.
- Stripe — payment processing when you buy a membership or advertising. Your card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Anthropic — the AI service we use to summarise and classify listing and research content, and to suggest a written description (alt text) for a photo a listing owner uploads. Listing details, including a practice name, address and website text, and the photo being described, are sent for those purposes. A suggested description is only shown to the owner, who decides whether to use it.
- Firecrawl and Apify — web-crawling services we use to find and refresh practice details from public web pages, such as a practice website or a public business profile.
These providers are based in the United States, so information about you may be stored and processed there. We keep this list current as providers change.
Analytics and performance measurement
We use two measurement services from Vercel Inc.: Vercel Web Analytics, to understand how the Site is used — which pages are visited, which links are clicked, and roughly where our visitors come from — and Vercel Speed Insights, which measures how quickly pages actually load and respond for real visitors so we can find and fix the slow ones.
We also use Google Analytics, provided by Google, to see where our visitors come from — search, social media, another website, or a campaign link — and how they move through the Site.
The two Vercel services are cookieless. They set no cookies, store nothing in your browser, and assign you no persistent identifier. To count visitors without one, Web Analytics derives a temporary hash from your incoming request; that hash is rotated every 24 hours, so you cannot be recognized from one day to the next, and it is never used to follow you to other websites.
We also use Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft, which is different in kind from the others and worth describing plainly. Rather than only counting visits, Clarity records how pages are used and can replay a visit as a session recording — the pages you moved through, where you scrolled, and where you clicked or tapped. We use it to find parts of the Site that are broken or confusing, such as a button people click repeatedly because nothing happens.
Clarity is configured to mask what you type, so text you enter into forms — including verification codes and payment details — is hidden from recordings rather than captured. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not look at recordings to study any particular person. It sets cookies in your browser to recognize a returning session. You can prevent it entirely by blocking cookies for this Site, or by using your browser’s Do Not Track or tracking-prevention setting, which Clarity honors.
We use PostHog as our product-analytics tool: it records which parts of the Site are used and where people abandon a task, such as partway through claiming a listing. It sets a cookie holding a randomly generated ID so a return visit can be joined to an earlier one. If you create an account we associate that ID with your account so we can support you and understand how members use the Site; for signed-out visitors no profile is created at all.
Google Analytics works differently from the Vercel services, and it also uses cookies. It stores cookies in your browser (named _ga and similar) and assigns you a randomly generated client ID so that repeat visits can be recognized as the same browser. It does not receive your name or email address, and Google anonymizes IP addresses before they are stored. You can opt out of Google Analytics across every site that uses it by installing Google’s own browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by blocking cookies for this Site in your browser settings. For each page view, Web Analytics records the page address, the referring page (including any campaign tags in the link you arrived from), the country and region derived from your IP address, and your device type, operating system, and browser. It may also record specific actions you take on the Site, such as clicking a link or submitting a form. Speed Insights records page-loading timings together with the page address, your device type, browser, and connection quality. Google Analytics records much the same page and device information, plus how you arrived and the sequence of pages you viewed. Your IP address itself is not retained by the Vercel services, and no advertising profile is built from any of them.
We do not use this data to identify you individually, and we do not combine it with your account information. If we add another analytics or measurement provider, we will name it in this section.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, support advertising, and — through Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and PostHog — measure how the Site is used. Our two Vercel measurement services set no cookies at all; see “Analytics and performance measurement” above for which is which. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality, though blocking analytics cookies will not stop the Site working.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. California/CCPA, EU/UK GDPR, or Canadian privacy law), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us. You can also:
- Clear locally-stored favorites by clearing your browser storage.
- Close your account by contacting us.
Data retention & security
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Site and for legitimate legal and business purposes, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective” date above.
