hello and welcome Adam Thomas from bouncing touch reflexology so good to see you and thanks for joining me today so over the holidays um I ended up replacing my floor and in the um scope of doing that I ended up getting a lot of um shoulder neck back pain uh because I don't usually get down on the ground and work on the floor and stuff like that so today I thought it would be really great to share with you a couple things that I use uh to to help manage sort of muscle pain that I've gotten and these can be really great to pass on to your reflexology clients as well so let's go take a look at uh my self-care uh [Music] tools so what do I use well at Costco this is probably my number one go-to right now you can pick up this here here which is called salmas okay um it's a made in Japan product and what they are is they're little like um muscle they're they're basically like uh sort of patches sticky patches here I'll show you what they look like so they come in a whole pack of these they're they're in little packs like so and you rip open this pack and inside this box box is a little pouch that is resealable okay so once you open up the pack so here is an open pack that I just showed you right and inside this are little sticker things okay so there's one on each side and all you do is you peel that like so right and then you put that on the area so for me I was feeling it right across here um I would just put that there and leave it on all day and it smells quite nice it's got kind of a a minty sort of eucalyptus smell so it's quite Pleasant it's not offensive at all so I would prefer um this type of thing over um you know like tiger balm and stuff so Tiger Balm does work it's all it's sort of all in the same category right it's not going to like totally fix your um uh shoulder pain and stuff but it really helps you and I find when I do put these on it give it sort of brings more awareness to that area is sore so I might um unconsciously or even consciously now um do something a little bit more um carefully right when I do wear these so these are really great I really really like them and they smell great and I leave them on all day uh something to be um cautious of is if you put them on and then you go have a shower they do get quite a bit more like sort of spicy they might sort of burn you um type of thing so I also smell a bit of a sweet sort of birch smell which I really quite like so before I was using these I found these in Japan and they're kind of the same concept right so there's I can't read any of this cuz it's all in Japanese um but it tells tells you where you can put them the thing that I like about these is they're a little bit more like skin colored um here I'll show you so they come in a big uh sheet but there's only one left here if you can see that one there um so they're a bit more like skin colored and they they're a dot but they same thing they're sticky and you put them on and they are quite um kind of spicy right you can feel the um it activating and bringing circulation to that area right so these are really great so I find I use these um especially on my clients and also myself when I'm doing a lot of computer work and there's a little point right in here below my elbow that if I push it just makes me want to scream after I've been you know doing a lot of uh computer work so I put one there put one here really works uh well for me there uh they I'll show you a full sheet what it looks like and they they come in the box and then ALS a resealable package and then you can also it gives you some um ideas of where you can put these right uh these ones are a bit smaller so you can get a little more targeted to the area that you're working on but these are just great as well um so once I picked these up in Japan I was able to find them um here in Vancouver at uh actually the um a Chinese supermarket called TNT so they are here um at TNT you can also find them at a place called Tokyo Beauty these are awesome they're very very great and then one that I found locally which is not a um a sticker right so these are a little bit different um uh this little thing little bomb here right so previously I have been using a uh green bomb that I found in Thailand and I just I love it it smells so good so fresh and all that um but if you don't go to Thailand it's hard to pick up um and it can be kind of Hit and Miss sometimes uh when you get it on Amazon I um it is available on Amazon but this one uh I wanted to try cuz I go to Sage to buy my Essential Oils and things like that um but it's a extra strength bomm and this one cool thing about this is It's really I don't know if you can see that right there yeah see it's nice and um looks almost like a raw turmeric or something right so it's probably I the ingredients are there probably if I spent some time to look at it I could find out what's on there but this stuff smells very peppery okay so it's it's a little bit different than those last two that I showed you so I I like this smell as well and I find this one very um like peppery uh so red peppery sort of oil oil pepper um kind of feel so when I put it on it Al it actually kind of stings in a way and but stings in a good way if you understand what I mean especially if you have muscle pain right so this one's really great it comes with a little uh little Scoopy thing here so you can do that and put it on um and the thing with this is that you're going to get it all over your hands when you do that and and you can feel uh once it's activated in the air that it quite uh has a very spicy burning kind of sensation right so that's what's really great and so um this is also another option that um I have found works really well right so I use these on on myself um my wife uses it as well uh my kids too when they're doing their um swimming and their Sports uh they've used them as well so they're they're really a broad range of ways you can use them and I use them all the time on my clients like if somebody comes in and they're having neck pain and stuff like that I'll work on the areas try and loosen them up and then I'll leave them to go home with a little sticker on there just it feels great right feels good and again like I said when you put something on it makes you more conscious that there's you know something to look out for something to be careful when you're doing your day-to-day sort of stuff so anyway so um those are the ones that I've been using recently um what do you use right let me know um you can put in the comments below so yeah hopefully that was helpful and um like I said you can I haven't checked on Amazon yet but I'm sure you can pick up uh something like these on Amazon so you can go over and check that out there um like I said before I got them at Costco and um this one right the salonas right um founded in the pharmacy area but uh yeah these are really good says here muscle pain arthritic pain um simple back ache right sprains stuff like that so it's it's really awesome for all those type of things same stuff applies for these um yeah so hopefully that was helpful and um yeah let me know what you use so
