hey everybody it's me it's Sam thank you to everybody who was literally just following me on Instagram so I jumped on Instagram to do a little bit of a live talk with you guys to let you know that I was coming on to the YouTube channel to do some fun stuff oh my goodness everybody's jumping on so guess that worked Portugal is in the house Thank You Sandra for joining us even though it's 6:30 up the PowerPoint first because it's not just about me it's content share screen okay so this is the foot reading video oh hey everybody everybody's jumping on everybody's saying I absolutely love it so let's talk about this pair of feet so what we're going to do is we are going to be dissecting pictures that have been sent in to me oh my goodness thank you thank you thank you love you guys so much thank you for picking up my oak our love yeah wonderful so these are pictures that are sent in to me by people all across the world I am so grateful to to receive all of your pictures and to talk to you about the meaning behind some of the markers in the feet that you are curious about so feel free at any time to send pictures to Sam at Foot whisper calm the details are in the description below but let's get to reading these feet first um the frock group the foot reading and reflexology online community group on Facebook is where a majority of this conversation has started a lot of the challenges that I've done in the past are in that group so if you're looking for a community of like-minded foot readers and reflexologist like that's that's where the conversation is happening and as always we're going to be focusing on assessment so actually assessing the reflexes the consultative dialog of the the foot reading process to like what I would say to a client what I would not say to a client sometimes that is much more important and then the application so after we assess after we consult what do we do with that information that's really the crux of the situation because if a client comes in and you're like well you're broken that's nice but how do I fix it it's in the follow-through it's in the lifestyle adjustments it's in in my opinion like the actual coaching that has to happen during a book reading session that the magic truly transpires so kind of working from all angles with that okay let's build some context first and foremost we have the smaller details so within this set of feet normally I like to keep it at a top-three marker wise I'm going to deviate from that rule for educational purposes because there are some really fun smaller details that I'd like to get into things that we haven't covered in previous videos which is always fascinating and then we're gonna zoom out to the bigger themes so yes smaller details are totally important they're super fun to poke around with they're just nice little tidbits but when we look at especially how we move somebody from point A to point B it's the bigger things that make the biggest difference so we want to create a context that allows us to really coach a client based on the biggest issues at play not necessarily the smaller details that's like splitting hairs or what I tell my students like don't be nitpicky about it like go for the big dramatic juicy markers that are on fire on the not they're not literally on fire but hey they may be tissue states like super in flames you know they may be metaphorically on fire so we want to focus on those deeper themes because that's where the movement actually happens and the actionable steps so always making sure to followup with the methods of balancing how somebody corrects the markers that you see because that's the educational portion that keeps clients coming as opposed to you just telling them kind of what you have found also suggest methods to correct it okay so let's talk about the first marker of these feats so this is a blown-up version of the feat that we saw at the beginning of the presentation and I'd like you to notice the color difference but I just think that's super fun like you can visibly see how the left foot is more red than the right just really really interesting um and we are actually going to touch back on that towards the end of the video so a little foreshadowing that the color differences represent overall circulation so we can see a theme of a circulation issue happening here just because the feet should be even in color one should not be you know a deeper red versus the other one be like a paler color so that color difference is going to be significant and we want to look at that but that's like a whole foot thing so it is again just zooming zooming in just a little bit to that that unique marker not something super crazy or dramatic there are definitely other things that you could pick up on but just wanted to go into that real quick because I found it funny on the marker number two this is going to be really another nitpicky marker but I just wanted to point it out because again it's fun that crease on the big toe so we can see that line on the big toe right there indicating that there is meant there was two mental fatigue that was happening also potentially a right-sided facial tic or some sort of drooping or weakness in that right sinus headspace facial area also passed mental stress so when we think of right foot past left foot present the right foot indicating the past and then the toes horizontal zone one representing the head space physically but also thoughts and opinions so past mental fatigue the the crease is not on the left side so we know that it was just a passing phase it was just a you know a little blip on the radar as it were but just fun fun stuff like that like unique marker that we haven't talked about the previous videos okay now we're getting bigger we're getting to things that are a little bit more expensive things that are a little bit more pressing but let's talk about the sharpened toes so we can see how the pick toe is just super angular here the skin has even almost conformed to that shoulder line guideline you can see where if they were to press their feet down like it might even just puzzle-piece right into that groove it has sharpened and calloused over this is this is an interesting marker because we're gonna validate it again when we look at the dorsal surface the big digit representing physically how the lower body is affecting the head space so vertical zone five is the lower body influence and then horizontal zone one all of the toes represent the neck so how the lower body is influencing the neck is influencing it to become sharp and rigid so potential headaches potential my grayness profiles starting to emerge here just a locking congestion probably also tinnitus I'm gonna call it as tinnitus that's a really interesting interpretation that I didn't think of before but yeah that totally fits also from a mental emotional standpoint this is from that softer side of things the fit toe represents somebody's vision of the future it's that vertical zone five becoming the sense of security and how somebody is moving forward and horizontal zone one then turning into thoughts and opinions so their vision of the future how they're forecasting what their next steps are and their mental conception of that the fact that it is so sharp and rigid means this person knows where they're going they know where they're going they know what they're doing that they're very much in they're they're very driven and pointed and laser focused on what those next steps are for them and that's what that sharpened that digit represents that kind of sharpness of future vision and we have the last marker on the printer circuits that I wanted to point out which is the big one uh the one that you probably were like Sam why are you talking about it the fact that somebody looks like they just took a big kitchen spoon and just carved out the arch of both beat the lack of tissue here is absolutely astounding that you can see that the arches are noticeably I you can see that they're dry you can see the waving of the skin there's just so much happening in the gut space here and when I say the gut space this is technically horizontal zone three and four so the head space is the toes the chest long shoulder space is the ball of the foot then we have horizontal zone three and four in the arch the distal arch representing the upper digestive the proximal arch or the arch that's closer to the heel representing the lower digestive the fact that there is a lack of tissue space here dryness and fatigue means that their diet just isn't on point it means that especially since we're seeing we saw a couple cardiovascular markers we saw the headspace is slightly compromised and sharpened and rigid like chances are there's going to be a dietary component to there their pain as well as their personality just because they aren't feeding themselves properly so you want to just keep that in the back of our minds that of the dramatic markers that we're seeing here you know yes the ball of the foot is slightly puffy a little bit of callus a little bit of dryness the heels are actually really nice shape but it's really that toes an arch that create the foundation of where we're going so there's headache stuff head stuff rising pressure in the neck and then deficiency in the but that lack of proper nutrient content and that's forming a baseline of what we're then going to confirm on the dorsal and medial lateral aspects okay everybody joined so far okay so far we're tell me in the chat we're doing good or tell me in the comments below that you're you're picking up what I'm putting down okay so let's talk about the dorsal aspect that I know that some of you were like whoa check out that picture but because have some craziness happening on the dorsal surface and let's talk about this particular brand of craziness because it is very interesting so I wanted to point out something a little bit nitpicky again I'm trying to be a little bit nit picky on this video because there are some tweaking things that I know you'll you'll run into down the road in foot reading consultations that I want to prepare you for so really cool stuff here notice how the second toe on the left foot is actually starting to if it was to release and relax move past the big toe and actually be longer verses on the right foot the toe is pretty even it's pretty in line but on the left foot it's actually surpassing what we would call the toe line and so what this means is that more recently this person has actually started to vocalize their opinions and their feelings much more frequently and good for them on doing that but with that elongated second toe a lot of people have that naturally it is a sign of leadership qualities on the positive side it means that somebody is very vocal about what they feel it means that they're very much in charge emotionally on the negative side it means that they do tend to be kind of bossy they do tend to be kind of in-your-face but but there are multiple things here that I just I'll drill down real fast and there will not be a quiz I'm just gonna go really quick because there's just a lot here and I need to get really technical for a second so this person having a lot of inflammatory tendencies in the feet a lot of muscular tension due to deficiency the black toenail polish which I'll talk about a minute indicating a need to protect and hide the mind due to over stimulus plus the toes being a central focus of like mental weakness and also headaches space the fact that they're taking charge and actually letting that second toe jut forward so that their emotions can be vocalized so that they can discharge that energy so that they can be more more in alignment with what they feel so that they can stand up for themselves vocally and internally within their own mind it's it's so so good so very interesting over the next you know six weeks to six months how that will continue to unfold as they learn to step into their own power and vocalize their feelings I know I know that was a lot but that was a lot so we're bringing it back we're bringing it back okay just had to had to go there for two seconds okay um but let's talk about some more HD one easy one stuff so horizontal zone one and vertical zone one that's going to be the big toe look look at those tendons look at those popped tendons the dorsal flexor tendons of the big toes are visible like visible on the dorsal aspect of the feet and we have those multiple slash marks right over them so we have the heat in the in foot reading we have the elemental markers popped tendons are a sign of heat and inflammation in the tissues which causes the muscles to contract and activate over activate in this case versus the air markers would be that weakness that lining so this backs up the horizontals on one stuff that we talked about on the plantar surface the headache stuff this talks about the mental fatigue this talks about also this person being really hard on themselves mentally and just having a very set expectation of what they want to do but that they are the only person who can ever get it done which we know is not true but just it's a story that we all at some point and to play in our own heads this is definitely something to be aware of because it also represents that that strain that tends to happen from the base of the skull to in between the shoulder blades that line of tension that just goes up and down what would be like the levator scapulae the the traps what would be the you know the superior aspect of all of that just back of the neck tension even going into the deeper spinal aspects which we'll talk about in a second just all of that heat literally rising into the head space into the necks space and all of that just crazy weakness happening as the resources are burned off because as we saw in the plantar surface like it's it's just not being given back to the body okay on that quick note about black nail polish though that whenever I whenever I talk about nail polish color you know it's definitely an eye-roll moment like really Sam freaking nail polish like yes yes it is something that I was skeptical about Jane Chi hun talks about it in her book let's read our feet and I was like yeah yeah colors blah blah blah significant synchronicity you know whatever but in this case it matches the profile and I have found it to match just as a general rule when clients come in with black nail polish black over the nails indicates a tendency to want to hide the mind somebody wanting to be more secretive more reclusive definitely feeling overstimulated not one to share their feelings wanting to keep things close to the vest shrouded in mystery and rightly so because as we're seeing in this profile they're not nourishing themselves the way that they should they're overworking overextending causing fatigue especially in the upper body and that's that's really draining to the mental space so good on them for learning - like we talked about with that elongated left toe vocalizing their emotions more standing up for themselves but also we can think about black nail polish shows like them taking a mental stance of I don't need to talk about that right now I don't need to explain to you what I'm feeling I just need to rest and go inside myself and that deserves no explanation so lots of lots of interesting like psychological dynamics there that definitely play in line with that but as a general rule just something fun but what is lacking here we're talking about a lot of air we're talking about a lot of fire but the two things that are really lacking are going to be that water and earth so that hydration aspects and that nourishing density aspect those two things are the markers that were not seeing those are be lacking deficient markers so that's going to be our main pivot into methods of balancing now that we've identified the weakness now that we've identified the inflammation we can then suggest methods of balancing based on where that inflammation and weakness is taking place to then better bring our client into wellness through them adjusting their own lifestyle giving the power back to them once we've coached them on how to move from point A to point B based on what the feet are say but before we do that before we do that aha circulatory so check out the congested veins just soak it all in um this this is the cardiovascular marker that I interview at the beginning with the color changes very very interesting the congested veins here again speak to the idea that we don't have enough fluid the blood has become thick the blood has become stagnant so we need to again incorporate that hydration from just a blood volume standpoint but then also from a density standpoint what a lot of people don't understand about nourishment is that cardiovascular symptoms like spider veins like varicose veins are when the the walls of the vasculature are so weak because of deficiency that they start to break and pool open they're literally not strong enough so from everything that we're seeing with deficiency and inflammation we can see the cardiovascular effects of that to back that up heat makes everything rise to the surface it also tends to boil water so when we look at that internal fluid rising to the surface because of the level of inflammatory heat and then we can see the congestion start to happening it's just such a beautiful example of everything that the feet have been saying since the beginning March does all that makes so much sense loving the the reading of the toes yes yes yes fabulous they do so much everybody who's sticking with me through this but definitely comment below if you haven't already let me know what you think it's reading so far um so that's that's just like the aha moment when I saw that it was like yes yes yes that totally makes sense that's the effect so we're definitely going to incorporate that into the methods of balancing and really leave it all together okay speaking of weaving it all together putting it all together let's talk about the physical stuff first so upper body stress specifically in the head and neck that's where the physical stress is is concentrating but it's due to digestive upset it's due to the deficiency that we're seeing from an earth and water standpoint so if we were to just do a little bit more hydration a little bit more better quality food regular mealtimes things like that definitely not skipping meals because the body hates that unless it's a strategic fast due to access like you know we want to give the body up a sustainable and expected regimen of nourishment otherwise it does tend to get really cranky and produce some pretty crazy symptoms and then the dehydration aspect so all of the lines all of the just missingness the cracking the fatigue it's it's just all there and a lot of people when we think of like clients who complain like oh I don't know why this muscle is so tight all the time like it it just won't relax no matter how many massages I get you know nobody can touch it it's like yeah cuz you're probably dehydrated the muscle is literally dry and cracked like we need to get some moistness into that and get it to plump back up so that I can moisten and just get some elasticity back into it but if you think of like um even a fruit or vegetable that has dried or dehydrated like it's brittle its it's crusty like it's it's not flexible at all so when somebody is complaining of chronic tension you know first thing I would suggest just to drink some water but definitely in this case so mental emotional we have vocalization issues due to just all of the zone one stop both horizontal and vertical just the need to practice and vocalizing in a healthy manner in a true manner but then also holding backwards that black nail polish aspects like making sure that they know when to be silent because secrets magic is a real thing like holding something back and not telling somebody about what is in your head can also have therapeutic value you don't need to be an open book all the time oh goodness comet I'm not sure why that second one didn't know I'm missing one so vocalization issues but then we also have the the thing that I put there was the drive somebody who is very very driven we saw that with the pointed toes we see that with all of the heat we see that with all of just the raw angular nature of these feats like this person is so driven has so much to do often takes care of so many things so much on the plate but that is ultimately unsustainable that's what the body is saying so with the deficiency patterns with the inflammatory patterns like yes you know this this locum this this locomotive is going at high speed it is definitely on fire literally but that's that's not sustainable so we want to make sure to coach this client like hey look you might be you might be comfortable going you know at 100 miles an hour for now but if you haven't already started to feel the effects of it chances are you will and we want to make sure that you're aware of what that will look like before that will happen so that you can actually prevent those breakdowns because going so hard so fast all the time just your body is going to break down eventually so let's wrap it all up into one concrete statement so the cardiovascular system has been compromised due to stress and dietary inflammation better food water choices are essential once the tissue states have become less inflamed we can see what issues are truly left fueling the body properly will influence the mind and nerves to let go of the muscles causing chronic attention also this will give the energy they need to perform and therefore become less defensive so this person because of everything that we're seeing with you know the the heat and the air and the angular nature of the fit toes and the dark nail polish it's like they tend to be a little bit snappy especially when they're kind of hangry when they haven't been fed properly they turn into the gremlin you know it's it's just all all a lot so we want to make sure that you know the blood pressure issues and the circulation issues are obviously healed very easily with food and water choices to tone the tissue states that the vascular system and to moisten and soften those muscles but then we can see what's truly left because then once we fix the basics of the daily stuff then then we get into what what is actually going on are there deeper themes that the basics didn't hit once we fix food water movement and internal state like what else is there to work with maybe that fixes it maybe it doesn't but then also it'll give them the energy that they need to perform at the level that they're performing at if they are so attached to being the the person that everybody depends on the caregiver for everyone else the super mom the super dad you know it's it's okay to be that way but if you're not giving yourself what you need in order to thrive in that environment it's again the idea is it's not sustainable so we just want to make sure that they don't become defensive argumentative start to burn people around them because they are themselves too on fire that's the thing so that's that yay oh very driven yeah there's my thing I just didn't queue it properly okay again just make sure to join the foot reading and reflexology online community keep up with the conversation there and I will escape from this and just do a couple final notes because I want to talk to you guys real quick awesome so yeah if you have any questions about book reading if you would like to submit your feet if you would like to join group if you would like to just chat one-on-one you can always shoot me an email at sama or whisper calm if you are a reflexologist who's interested in book reading I have an online certification course I also have a book that you can totally read all in the description below but that is the left foot reading video I hope that everybody had a wonderful time tuning in and stay tuned subscribe to the channel and we will see you next time
