Okay, welcome to Intro to Emotional Reflexology. It is my honor and pleasure to share this with you today because I had to develop it when I was dealing with anxiety and panic. I'll get into that a little bit later, but I am over the moon excited to share my discoveries with you because it has helped me help thousands and thousands of clients. Today we're going to be covering what emotional reflexology is. You're going to see how to detect an emotional reflexes. You're going to get a sneak peek at what the charts look like. You're going to be able to hear a testimonial from one of my clients. And you're going to be able to learn what certification in this looks like. Now, in order for me to develop it, I ended up with 21 certifications. and I um had personal very intense um health issues and you study faster when you're in pain. That's just the truth of it. But I also had family that was going through terminal terminal diagnosises. And so I I wouldn't recommend that journey to anyone, but I was able to combine a lot of what I learned in all of those 21 certifications into what I now call emotional reflexology just and so um people can learn it in order to get certified in reflexology. Heads up, it is not one hour. You can't possibly do that. Um, it is a one-year course and for those interested, I will get into that further at the end after I answer some of your questions. Um, but just in so that you're clear, it is a one-year program in order to get certified because I can't brain dump faster than that. Now, um, this little intro to reflexology, just to be absolutely crystal clear, is not certification training. You are not going to get a certificate after 60 minutes with me. Um, you need to be able to do 50 practical sessions. There's a mandatory review required for it, like a three-hour mandatory review so that I can actually watch you do sessions to make sure that you know what you're doing. Um, this what you're here for today is just a 1-hour introduction to explain um so I can show you exactly how it works and um what's possible with it. So um it's okay if you're here just because you're curious about what emotional reflexology is and you don't want to invest a year getting certified. That's more than fine. Um you can still walk away with more knowledge than what you had before. For those who are interested in becoming emotional reflexology therapists, I'll give you the details about the full certification at the end and um you you'll you'll know exactly what's involved. So, emotional reflexology uses a combination of foot reflexology, muscle testing, perspective, strategic intervention coaching, powerful listening skills, and wisdom from life experience, and more to detect and release emotions tied to old memories. So, in the first um intro to reflexology or intro to emotional reflexology that class that I did, somebody asked, "Do you have to be intuitive to do this?" The answer is no. There are charts that I use and they are designed in order for you to be able to um find emotions in zones and so that um it is not an intuitive thing. You just have to understand how to do it. So, um, contrary to popular belief, there isn't a cookie cutter chart to deal with emotions because people's processing of experiences is as unique as they are. We didn't come with a manual and there are over 8 billion people on the planet. The only things that hold the answer are the body and we need to work with it to translate what it needs without instructions and being blindfolded. Right? So, um the part of life that is really interesting is we don't have a map. We all have to figure it out as we go. And the frustrating part about life is we don't have a map and we have to figure it out as we go. So, um, emotional reflexology really kind of helps decode what's going on with people and so that um you can help them get answers which is neat. So, our time today um together is short and we have a lot to get through. So, let's dive in. question. What if the problem isn't physical? What if it's emotional? Have you ever pressed on a reflex? Nailed the technique and the reflex still refuses to let go. So, what I have learned is if a reflex does not let go, that is an emotional reflex. There are only three possible causes to any imbalance that I'm aware of. They are stress, stress or stress, right? It can be physical stress, it can be nutritional stress, it can be emotional stress. Any combination or of physical, nutritional or emotional stress, the problem is everybody perceives things different. Any parent on the planet who has more than one child is going to confirm that even though that child is raised in the same home, same environment, same parents, every kid is different, right? And so it's the same way with how we react to different situations, how we perceive different situations. 8 billion of us on the planet, we all do things different. There are people that can eat bread. There are people that cannot eat bread because their bodies react different. That's a different kind of nutritional stress. Everyone is unique. And that is why a cookie cutter fix doesn't work for everyone. You have to be able to customize it. I would hope as professional reflexology therapists, you customize your treatment. I know I have run across a lot of people that just do 1 to 47. That is robot reflexology. That's what I call that. If you do not understand the body system so that you can focus more on the reflexes that have an imbalance that is you're not customizing sessions, right? You're just going through the motions that quite frankly in my opinion is very boring. So when you do understand how it works, it helps you help clients get better results. When you add the emotional component to it, it takes that to a whole new level. A lot of clients think that you're psychic. You're not. It's just that you're able to help the clients go back and figure out where they got stuck in time. I call it I mean physically we have a a physical immune system. We all understand that, right? But what nobody understands or few do is we also have an emotional immune system. And so if that memory gets caught in time connected to a specific story, that immune system is going to remember it. And you have to be able to understand how the memory remembered it in order to decode it in order to control altdelete it. And then once you control altdelete it, it's just gone. It's like it's never existed. I've had so many clients in my day when you detect the motion and you release it, they look at you like you're crazy because it's it's like it never existed. It's it's super fun. in order to get into and I will I will show you um a little bit later in this presentation but that's the crux of it. So as I mentioned the challenge is figuring out how the client got stuck in the first place. That's the thing. The reflexes are going to guide us to that answer because emotions do not let go until you understand. They are relentless. So, as I mentioned before, most good reflexology therapists customize reflexology sessions because they focus with longer pressure and they customize based on what it says in the client's health record. Right now, a client always determines what they eat. They decide what they fuel their body with. We can't do anything about that. But who helps clients with trapped emotions? Because you cannot talk out what you can't even remember. There isn't a talk program for that. When I had anxiety, in order for me to escape it, I had to remember a memory that I forgot 30 years prior from when I was eight. And I had to release the emotions tied to it, create a different perspective. The moment I've released the emotions tied to that specific memory, I was released from anxiety. And I have never had another panic attack since. There wasn't a pill for it. There wasn't a talk therapy for it. Trust me, I tried. I spent thousands of dollars in talk therapy, letting therapists watch me ball my face off. And it was very uncomfortable. Probably more traumatizing. I should probably work on myself for that. But it was the anxiety from not being my my emotional immune system was remembering event and it was tormenting me. That was the truth. So um there there wasn't a cheat note. I I didn't have one, but I believe it had a purpose because if I didn't go through that, I wouldn't be doing this, right? So, um, it all worked out, but the emotion and being able to find that emotion that that emotional immune system is what I call it was remembering was the missing link. You don't have to talk through emotions and emotional reflexology, which is a big relief for people that don't want to go through talk therapy, that don't want to w have a therapist staring at them for hours on end balling their face off with no answers, right? Some people are sick of trying to talk it out. [laughter] So it doesn't it doesn't work sometimes, but it doesn't mean it doesn't work for other people, right? Everybody is different. I said that at the very beginning. 8 billion people, we all need something different. But the body is the only thing that knows what needs to let go. And those cranky reflexes that do not let go are the key to the treasure hunt. that is going to help you help your clients figure it out. Make sense? So pain leaves clues. Now emotional reflexology, it is a game changer. Emotional reflexology helps to detect those emotions hidden in the subconscious memory and it gently releases them so that they lose their power to weigh the client down. It can present as mystery pain. has anyone or anyone have a client where they have pain, they're going to the doctor, they're getting all of the tests done, everything is coming back and it is uh yeah, nothing's wrong. Ever heard that one before? Me, too. And so what that is is if medical imaging cannot detect it, it doesn't mean that the person is crazy, that the person is lying. It means that there is an a thing that cannot be detected physically by the medical system. And what cannot be detected physically by the medical system today are things that are emotionally tormenting the client. Right? So, I spent decades. Let me tell you, my fuse was a little short by the time I went here because I was in emergency four days a week with pain so bad I couldn't stand up straight, convinced I was going to die. And I was trying to tell them that there was something terribly wrong. Every visit to the hospital room told me that there was nothing wrong. It was the most frustrating experience I've ever been through. But nobody ever told me that emotion could cause physical pain. That physical pain is real. It is very real. But the cause is emotion. It's not physical. And so there are many people who are caught in the mentality that if there's a problem, it has to be physical. Me included. Right? It wasn't. Emotion can cause physical pain. And you know for sure when you find it because when it releases, it moves. It shifts. It changes just a little bit. And so if you have physical pain, it's it's lodged in there. It doesn't it doesn't move. You can detect it on medical imaging. Emotion isn't like that at all. And this was the um moment in time when I figured it out because this guy here was my uncle. He was diagnosed with um lung cancer. I tried absolutely everything to save him. I couldn't. But what was happening was um that memory from when I was eight. It was I was a little girl and I was raking with a two-sided rake in my backyard. And my brother was jumping off of a rabbit hut is what had happened. I had to go to the bathroom. So I went into the house to go to the bathroom and the next thing I know there was utter chaos. This guy right here in this picture is blind. He's my uncle. He stayed with us when I was young. And my brother jumped head first onto that two-sided rake. As an 8-year-old, I did not know. I had no clue that the head bleeds that much when it's cut. He was a cute little blonde boy, right? And so what happened was my mom and my dad, they're running past this patio door that we have and all that I see is my brother's like it was like I saw his body body and I just saw this great big red blob on top of it. I thought for sure his head was cut off. So there I am absolutely losing my mind because I thought I killed my brother in my head. These are the stories that I'm telling. I killed my brother. It's my fault. Everyone's going to hate me. I'm going to jail. Like, what other imaginary stories can you come up with when there is no phone phone? Like, we didn't have a cell phone back when I was that old. You [laughter] know what I mean? And I'm sitting here on this guy's lap as an eight-year-old, right? And I am telling him that I killed my brother. He doesn't know that his nephew isn't dead. Five five hours later, my brother came home with five stitches in his head. He was fine. He was fine. But when times got tough, I still sat on this guy's knee 30 years later. That right there, right there, this picture is crystal clear evidence that the emotional immune system is very strong. Very, very, very strong. In this picture, 30 years later, he was the one dying of lung cancer. He was the one that that was struggling, but the bond was still the same. That's how we kept each other safe. As soon as I remembered the trauma from that event, 30 years later, I was living next door to my brother in a house. There were six rabbits jumping all over the backyard. There's lots of two-sided breaks because I had a big garden. I had this guy living in my house with me to take care of him. He was getting treatment at the same hospital that my brother was getting stitches. And for the life of me, I couldn't figure out why I was having anxiety attacks so bad that I spent seven weeks with a panic attack. Those things are supposed to last seven minutes. When you understand how the emotional immune system works, it is crystal clear why it won't let go. Make sense? So going through that experience, I did get 21 certifications. I took me 21 to figure it out. The list is on my website. It's extensive. Lord knows I didn't need another certification. I didn't need another piece of paper to hang on my wall. What I did need was answers because I was sick of doing things that didn't work. It was frustrating. So, how do you escape story jail? You figure it out. You have to figure out what the emotional immune system was remembering. After my brother got five stitches in his head and came home, everything should have been fine. There shouldn't have been a problem. So why 30 years later was my body still remembering something that I forgot? It's because you have to be able to process the emotions and so that you feel safe. Otherwise, you get locked in time and it just rinses and repeats. Same thing over and over. And at the end of the day, there's three parts to any of us. We have our physical body, our emotional body, and our thought. Our physical bodies are only here for what, a hundred years. Our souls are eternal. The soul is going to win no matter what. Love can't die. The soul is safe. So it lets the meat suit do whatever the meat suit wants to do. If we think that feeling anxiety is fun, okay, it's it's no it's no problem for the soul. That's why it never lets go. It has nothing to lose. We do. the meat suit does. Right? So developing emotional reflexology I believe was my purpose and I also believe it will be my legacy. That is why I choose to share it with you because figuring this out was not for the faint of heart. So, the this is um one of my clients and I'm going to let you show I'm going to show you um how she explains emotional reflexology and then I will um it it has a little bit of a demo of what it looks like. Okay. Today the question I'm asking is what is it like to have an emotional reflexology session? And there is a client here that has experienced emotional reflexology. So, remembering back, and I know it's a long time, but remembering back to when you had your very first emotional reflexology session, do you remember what you were hoping to feel when you had that first session? Like, do you remember the stress and what you were hoping to feel? >> I was looking for relief from my pain, >> right? What I was most surprised about was how you were linking past traumas which contributed to my pain. >> Right. Good job. And so in the very first session when I found a cranky reflex is what I call them. >> Yes. >> And it was tender, I would go in, I would find the emotion tied to the memory. >> Yes. And when it released, can you explain what it feels like when it lets go? On a physical side, usually there was a decrease in pain, but not the whole amount. It would take a couple of of releases in order to get down to a zero. Sometimes not completely to a zero. Um, but there was always pain relief. >> Excellent. And now when you think about the emotions that were tied to that reflex when they let go, how does that help you emotionally after the session? It's made me a lot more calmer than I used to be and I'm able to cope with high stresses without my body reacting as badly. >> Perfect. And when it comes to your perceptions of things like your attachment to those emotions that were trapped and now released, how does it feel on um mental or emotional attachment to those challenges? What what happens to those? Well, I'm very proud that I react differently now than what I used to in a much more calmer state and I'm just very proud of myself that I can accomplish this with Kinda's help and um it's just very freeing knowing that I don't have to react emotionally and freak out that >> on a a stressful situation. It's much more [clears throat] on a calmer level. >> Excellent. Well, thanks so much for sharing with us today. >> Yeah, no problem. >> Great. Okay. So, I am going to do a demo on what it looks like in an emotional reflexology session. So, it is um only for certified foot reflexology therapists. You have to know foot reflexology in order to be able to take this advanced training. But what I'm looking for right now is I'm looking for a tender reflex. Now, I'm just going to go and skip through and so that I can find a tender reflex. you would be doing a full reflexology session on the client, but we're looking specifically for cranky, tender reflexes in the foot. So, I don't feel anything really that I can work with in here. Oh, right there. >> Mhm. >> I found it. Okay. [clears throat] So, in here, if I had to rate this scale of 1 to 10, where would you rate it? >> Four. >> Okay. So, I'm holding it. Is it releasing or? >> Yep. >> Is it down to a zero? >> No. >> Okay. So, scale 1 to 10? >> Um, a one. >> Okay. And it's still holding. >> No, it's down to zero now. >> Okay. So when you detect a reflex and it's tender but it releases, that is not an emotional reflex. So now I'm going to work on the back of this toe cuz I suspect >> scale of 1 to 10. >> Seven. >> Right there is a seven. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So the client said that this reflex on the back of the toe is actually a seven. And is it holding? No, it's a five. >> Okay. And where's it at right now? >> Four. >> Okay. So, this reflex is holding at a four. It is an emotional reflex. Now, what I'm going to do is I am going to use my chart here to figure out what emotion could be trapped in this reflex. And I don't think it's on that chart. Okay. So in this reflex, the emotion that I'm detecting is vulnerability. So scale of 1 to 10 in your world today. >> Mhm. >> Where do you feel vulnerability is at? >> Scale scale of 1 to 10. >> A four. >> A four. Now I want to find out when this all started. So I know the age of the client but I am going to Do you remember feeling vulnerable at age 13? >> Oh yes. >> Scale of 1 to 10, where would it be at? >> At 10. >> Okay. So what I'm going to do is I am releasing all of the uh vulnerability from back then >> as well as today >> and I am replacing it with the ability to feel strong and confident and relieved. Okay. >> So now when I press this reflex scale of 1 to 10, where is it at? >> One. one. Okay, so now it's dropped down to a one, but that just means that something else could be attached to it. And what is it? Okay, so using the charts, I'm I'm using the charts in order to try to figure out what this is. And the next thing is feeling secluded. So the seclusion is coming from at age 29. Do you remember feeling secluded at age 29? >> Yes. >> Scale of 1 to 10, how bad was it back then? >> Eight. >> Okay. And where is it at today? Feeling secluded like you are left alone. >> But I don't care. Yeah. But the secluded part of it. Scale of 1 to 10. One. Okay. So, I'm releasing the attachment or I'm releasing the seclusion. >> Mhm. >> Um, from 29. >> Mhm. >> As well as current. And I'm replacing it with the joy of your own company and the freedom that comes from be able to make your own choices, being independent, and being proud of yourself. Okay. And scale of 1 to 10, where's it at now? >> Zero. >> Good. And so now this reflex when I press it is at zero. And it no longer bothers the client. And that is what emotional reflexology looks like. And I should put in a disclaimer that when a reflex is released, the the emotional attachment to that specific memory cannot return because you do not have Marty McFly's time machine from back to the future to go back in time to create the same reaction that you had in the first place. So, it's gone. And if it does come back, it would be because of a habit that has been created where that emotion has been used in multiple um trapped memories and then you just have to go searching to release that same emotion from a different time period. I'm just going to answer a few questions here before um we go any further just in so that we have them. Let me see. Marissa, have you got the questions here? Um, are you sharing with them what body part or system the area is tied to from a reflexology perspective as well as part of the emotional assessment? We're keeping it separate during this part of the session, Ariana. Um, so when I do, if they ask what reflex that is, I will tell them, but it's more just using the reflex in order to be able to um detect the emotion is what we're focused through in here. So, with this client, I didn't tell her that the first time I was pressing the thyroid reflex and then um it let go. We we don't discuss that because most clients just want to have reflexology to relax, right? They're not there to figure out how to become reflexology therapists. They just want you to make their pain go away. So, um on the second reflex that I was working on, it was the backside of the neck reflex on the back side of the toe is is where I had vulnerability for her the second time. Is there a limit to the number of trapped emotions you can release in a session? Mary. Um, well, you don't I mean, you want to keep it within the 1 hour. So, emotional reflexology is 1 hour. I don't know how fast you can do a regular foot reflexology session. Um, if you are if it takes you a full hour to do a foot reflexology session, then you would want an emotional reflexology session for about an hour and a half. You don't [clears throat] you don't want to spend the whole entire time on just one reflex. So, um, usually with students when they're learning, I give them a three emotion limit per reflex. And so, you don't want to go hunting longer than you don't want to go down a whole rabbit hole, otherwise you're going to have you're going to be there for a year in some cases, right? Um, how do you know about what age the client lived at that emotion? I teach that in the um, full certification course. I'm not going to get that in. I don't have time to get into that today. Does the client have to remember or feel the exact emotion for it to be released? No. So, remember when the client had um had had said no, like she she didn't really feel um vulnerable or whatever or she was okay with it. It is very common for um clients to be like, "Oh, no. That doesn't bother me at all." And then that isn't so their words aren't what you're using as a guide. The reflex, the tenderness and the reflex is what you're using as a guide because they'll tell you lots of things, but it's about what they're feeling in their body is is the important thing to pay attention to. So, um, there's lots of times where I pull an emotion and they're like, "Nope, that has nothing to do with me." And it's like a 10 out of a 10 and then I go in and I release that emotion and it goes down to a zero. Obviously, it's something that's bothering them, but they can't talk out what they don't remember. I said that at the beginning, right? Um, is it difficult to work out the age the client was when suffered the emotional trauma? No, that's not hard at all. Um, are the trapped emotions always the clients? No, there are third party um there are third party and there are inherited emotions as well. Some people call that genetics. I call it carrying your parents or grandparents or ancestors baggage. [laughter] We release that sometimes too or um it can be so the problem with emotion is it is 24 hours a day, right? So 24 hours a day sometimes we can be watching movies, sometimes we can be dreaming, sometimes we're having empathy for somebody else going through something. All of those things can be um trapped. We do detect them and they are released. Following up on the question about how many releases would releasing more than a couple increase the chance of a release reaction or a detox? I mean um you can kind of see it in their faces because they start to get really tired, right? So when they start to get really tired, I just continue on with the session. You don't want to absolutely drain them. But when it gets too much for the body, it just stops. Like you cannot release any more than what the body is willing to let go. They have to give you permission to release. And sometimes the body will not give you permission to release. So um you I mean it's all kind of a thing. Do they have to talk it out or can the sessions be quiet? They don't have to talk it out, but I do always, you do always have to ask if they remember, right? So, um it's not like a foot reflexology session where they can just sit there and go to sleep. There is a little bit of interaction because they have to answer yes and no questions. Okay. Is that all of the questions? Can you do emotional reflexology in the hand or is it a foot only treatment? Sarah, it is um you can do it on the hand if you're certified in hand too. The challenge is um hand reflexes are way tinier. I can do it on the ear too and I have done it on the ear. Um but the reflexes are just way way way tinier and it's harder um for the sensitivity than it is in the foot. But it is it is absolutely possible. Okay. Now what I am looking for is somebody who is ready to experience emotional reflexology and be a guinea pig. If um so in order to be able to do this, what I need you to do is I need you to find a cranky reflex in your own feet that is holding tight. So a reflex that holds for over 15 seconds. If there's anybody that can find a reflex in their own feet that can hold that holds for over 15 seconds and is willing to be a volunteer. Okay, Marissa, have you found somebody? Can you pick somebody out of the chat and just let me know? Let me know and let Okay, so Lori, >> hi. >> Hello. Okay, so where is she? Lori, there you go. Okay, you have got a cranky reflex. >> Yeah, adrenal. >> Okay, so it's the adrenal reflex. >> Yes. Okay. And scale of 1 to 10, how how bad would you rate this reflex? >> A seven. >> Okay. So, this is a seven. Now, I have charts that I'm going to use to be able to detect this emotion. Um, but I have to ask, can you tell me how old you are? >> 51. >> Okay, perfect. in the adrenal reflex. The adrenal reflex scale of 1 to 10, how high would you rate the tenderness in there? >> About a what? >> Seven. >> Okay. Okay. So, feeling irritated. Hold on. 37. So, do you remember fearing feeling irritated at age 37? >> Yes. scale of 1 to 10, how bad was that? >> Okay. So, I am releasing irritated from um that moment in time and I'm reminding you that irritation is coming from having expectations. So, not everyone is going to do what you want. And it's important that your expectations for yourself are based in reality, right? So many people what they do is it's kind of like expecting a baby that just started to walk to run a marathon. Our expectations are so high. I have never seen a parent with a kid that is just starting to walk sit there and scream at them because they can't run a 44 thou 40 44k marathon. But when you look at the expectations for yourself, that's kind of what it's like, right? Like your first day, you can't be an expert at anything. The other thing is everyone else is working at their own pace with what they got, right? So wanting things done the way that we want them done is great, but it it probably isn't realistic if we really look at it, right? So keeping that in mind, I am releasing the irritation and I am replacing it with the ability to accept things how they are and getting insights in how to make it better with realistic expectations. In fact, we're going to just delete all expectations because then anything that happens is a bonus, right? [laughter] Okay. So now, can you press on that adrenal reflex again and tell me scale of 1 to 10 where it's at? It was an eight when we started this. Where is it at now? >> Okay. So, it's coming down and it's just because there's something else trapped in that reflex, right? 47. A decade later, it's fear of loss. So, um that would have been about 2021. That would have been just kind of in the COVID era. Do you remember having fear of loss? Okay. >> So, I am removing fear of loss and I'm replacing it with a reminder that everything is happening for you. It's not happening to you. Right? So, um in those moments when things get really heavy, it forces our creative mind to get creative and we can do things different. We can do things better. we can do things and so that we can live life like a full adventure. Okay. Now, where is it at? >> Uh three. >> Three. Okay. So, it's come down a little bit more. I'm going to do one more thing with this with this reflex. Okay. Okay. It's current overwhelm in your world today, a scale of 1 to 10, where is it at? >> Eight. >> Okay. So, in today's world, overwhelm is at an eight. Makes sense that you're on the adrenal reflex then, right? >> Yeah. >> So, I'm going to remind you that you eat an elephant one bite at a time, right? You don't need to try to take on the whole world. When you're climbing a staircase, we take steps. We don't expect to go from the bottom of the staircase to the top in one one great big huge leap, right? Step by step, you're going to get there. So, I am taking out the overwhelm that paralyzes you with paralysis of overanalysis and I'm replacing it with the ability to take one step at a time without procrastination. Because if you think about what you need to do and then you don't do it, you need to think about what you need to do again on repeat until you actually do it to get it off your to-do list. Right? [laughter] So, we're going to take out any kind of procrastination and I'm going to replace it with feeling empowered by taking things off of the to-do list so that you can go step by step. Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. And now in your adrenals, where's it at? Good. Okay. Just one more thing. [laughter] Um, and I will do it just because then you can feel what it Okay. So, hold on. Wait. In your overwhelm in your world today, it was just an eight. Where is it right now? >> One. >> When you're thinking about it, your overwhelm is at a one. >> Yes. >> Good job. Good job. Good news is is it doesn't come back because you can't you can't unchange the story you just heard. [laughter] Okay. So the very last thing that's stuck in there and it is also current is feeling unsupported. So scale of 1 to 10 where does unsupported feel? >> Seven. >> Okay. Now, here's a story about unsupported. Remember what I talked about with expectations before, >> right? >> Okay. We can't expect anyone else to save us. We have to be able to save ourselves. So, the most important support that you need is from yourself, right? So what I'm doing is I am releasing all expectations for an external savior and I'm replacing it with the power of your internal savior and so that you can always feel supported and anything external is just a bonus. Unshakable confidence. Okay. Now where's that adrenal reflex? >> Everything. >> Good. And when you think about unsupported now, where's it at? >> That's okay. But where's your overwhelm at? >> Good. And so what's what's left is basically your habit and it is a perspective that you just need to work at until it lets go. You know what I mean? But going from an eight to a one in that short a period of time is um fun. That's the word I'm going to use for it. >> Thanks. Thanks so much for volunteering today. >> Thank you. >> I've got a question here. When releasing the emotions, are we explaining to the client what we're replacing the emotion with or is it something we keep to ourselves? No. I always So, when I am releasing an emotion and when I'm replacing it, I always say it verbally because it would absolutely creep me out if somebody was doing something like that and I'm not aware of it. Um the Can you tell us about the course accreditation? Yes, I'm going to cover that at the end. Okay. So, everyone's good. So, I will um keep on going. We answered the questions and now we will go into um what it is like to get certified. So this course is accredited with the reflexology association of Canada. I do teach the course online as well as inperson can also do it with work at your own pace and I will get into that in just a second so that you can see exactly what's involved here. So emotional reflexology there are downloadable manuals and charts. So you can do it um you can do it from anywhere. You have access to the online store student portal so that you can access it 20 um 47 and I will take you on a tour at the end. The live training is on Saturdays and Sundays. Now, it's 9 to5 in Saskatchewan, but if you you just have to check your time zone to see where it is anywhere else on the globe. If it is at some obscene hour, there are recordings so that you can watch it. Now, you have to do 50 practical sessions. Those 50 practical sessions you are going to do on people. But in order to be able to make sure that you know what you're doing after you've done 20 sessions, you have to attend a live mandatory review. Again, you can do those in person or you can do them online. They're done in group sessions and I use Zoom to do it. The camera has to be set up so that I can see your client's feet, not the face. We don't want them, you don't want the client's face, but you definitely need the client's feet. And I watch you do a session on a client. Now once you're approved and once I am confident that you know how to do that session then you continue on and do 30 more emotional reflexology sessions and then you are ready to do your practical exam. Practical exam you guys are already certified foot reflexology therapists. So it would be the same as the mandatory review. If you are in Regina, Saskatchewan, you can come and do a live session on me. If you're not, you don't want to travel, you are, you just want to do it where you're at, that's okay. I can do the practical um exam online. And again, that is a private session. You have to have the camera set up so that I can watch you working on the feet. and I need to be unshakably certain that you can do an emotional reflexology session with confidence before um I hand over the certificate. If I don't feel like you are confident or if it's not being done right, you just have to do another mandatory review and uh exam in order to be able to get it done. Now, the three-hour online mandatory reviews, there are people from all over the globe. Time zones are wonky, so they are staggered at different times and so that it can be at a reasonable time in all time zones. Um, you're never left alone with questions. there is a private Facebook group and so that you can connect with other emotional reflexology students to collaborate to um find another therapist to be able to work with and to be able to ask me questions. Here is the website. So, it's just my website clinfo.com. And when you go to reflexology courses, if you want to see what the certifications are, I think they're over in here. Like I wasn't kidding about 21. They're they're literally right there. Um, emotional reflexology course is where you get more details about the course. It's all outlined right there. But more importantly, here is the student login. So, you go here and you get your own private login and it tracks your progress. That's important because I need to know what you watched and what you didn't watch. It helps me track what you're doing. Um, but when you go here, this is the emotional reflexology course login. So, there's the charts. You can download these charts, um, the sequence sheet. This is where you book a mandatory review and there's several different dates. The most important thing is every time I teach, I keep the recordings and you can watch the recordings, past recordings, as well as um any new ones that come up. I'm a little funny in this regard. I do not believe in I my goal is to create a community of reflexology therapists that can share ideas off of each other and always feel supported. So once you're in, you're in. you get access to um future updates. I don't do any refresher courses because you've always got access to the refresher course. It is a living recording. So, you can watch past ones, you can watch current ones, and you can watch it over and over. So, these are all recordings of the past ones. Once I teach a new one, it'll be added into here and any updates are added so that you always got the latest version. Um, all of these things are things that you are taught and you just go through it at your own pace. So when I teach it, um, somebody was looking Edmonton, somebody was looking for that yesterday. Um, and then [sighs] when you are certified, you get listed into here so that you can find other people in your area as well. Um, there's a ton of bonus materials, etc., etc. So, that's what inside the student portal looks like. And in here is the emotional reflexology Facebook group. This is only for um, emotional reflexology students. You can't get in here any other way. And I always have updates in here as well. Um when you when you get certified, um my little bit emoji comes in and celebrates. Um there's we celebrate a lot in here. Anything that I do for updating is posted in here as well as in the student portal. And you can always ask questions, right? So, um, there we go. That's it. Okay. Does anybody have any questions about anything that I've covered that I haven't? I'm confused. You say that the client does not have to remember a cause, but then you ask, "Do you remember feeling vulnerable at age whatever?" Is that not the same thing? No. Because Okay. So, what happens is let's say that I push on a reflex. Okay. I press here. Scale of 1 to 10. Where is it? 10. Okay. Um I go find an emotion and it's like uh responsibility. Okay. So, uh do you remember having responsibility at age 30? Uh no. Okay. So I still release responsibility and then I press it again and now it's a three. Okay. So there's a difference between conscious thought and subconscious thought. Conscious thought doesn't always remember subconscious memories. So you do not have to, the client does not have to remember the story because the cranky reflex is the guide on telling us what the emotion is that's trapped. We're working with the um body and we're working with the subconscious mind. We're not working with the subconscious thought because most times if people could think of what the problem was, they would have fixed it already, right? Make sense? Okay, Hannah, did that answer your question? Uh, good job. Good job. Um, how many clients are needed for the 50 sessions? That really fluctuates. So, when I teach um foot reflexology, it's on five people 10 times or 10 people five times. In emotional reflexology, it's a little bit different because some people when you release the emotion, it's one and done, right? And so it they are paid sessions and it is up to you. Um there isn't a minimum, but there isn't a maximum either. Like I have some people with complex PTSD that come absolutely every week because they are working through their layers, right? I have some clients that came once and I never seen them again because it fixed the problem. So you are already a certified reflexology therapist and you just have to um use your discretion on who needs it and who doesn't, right? It also helps to build your practice. When word gets us out with this, my practice got really busy, so it's all good. Um, if it's released and comes back as a habit, how long would it take to break the habit, Sarah? That is very dependent on absolutely each individual. So a habit usually takes 40 days to break. If the emotional rem immune system is remembering something from the past and it releases it, it can be a detached thing. But if it is tra if that same emotion is trapped in many um different stories, it can take much longer. Everyone's different. There isn't a cookie cutter. Hey, six sessions for this, 10 sessions for that because everyone is unique, right? Can we use this with real time trauma? For example, yes, absolutely. I remember um I had one little kid for whatever reason after COVID I I was my clinic was bombarded with specifically 10-year-olds. We'll never understand that. But um yeah, next question is, can it be done on children? Answer is yes. um and they don't have to be able to answer. I have worked on autistic children and autistic adults that um didn't speak and it worked great. It it diffused anger and frustration in those clients. Um and then um it ended up what was where was I going with this? It was Oh yeah. So there was one kid that was involved in a car accident and if they went on the highway, the kid would freak out because of the cellular memory and they would have nightmares like extreme nightmares absolutely every night. And so after an emotional reflexology session where I released the trauma tied to the car accident, the nightmare stopped and the driving was fine. Um, how did you release the emotion on the person that volunteered here? You were not holding her feet. No, but she's a certified foot reflexology therapist and she was she was pressing the reflex. I didn't need to. Um, how did you create the charts of emotions and how do you know you have charted all possible emotions? So, I've done thousands and thousands and thousands of sessions. It is impossible with 8 billion people on the planet to be able to do absolutely every possible emotion. I didn't ever claim that I would do that. Um but what happens is you have the tools in order to have different options and so that you can work with them with the client. The measuring stick is never about what I said. It is always about the release of the client. And so you've always got access to the Facebook group to ask questions for eternity as long as I exist and the Facebook group exists and it is always changing. Okay. So then if you have someone who does not want to talk or rate reflexes, can you still help them to if they're not willing to re reate reflexes? No. You wouldn't do an emotional reflexology session on them. They they No, you can't because you need to be able to have communication. If someone is nonverbal and they can nod their head or anything like that, that is different. But if they're not willing to talk and they're not um willing to rate reflexes, you do not have perm you do not have their permission to work on them. So you can't. Okay. As a session has run. Okay. Yeah. Oh, we've gone over time. Sorry. Okay. Um, I can stay on if if you need to leave, leave. If we are over time, I'm so sorry. And, um, if anyone has any questions, you can ask really quick before I bounce off. Oh, that's amazing. Non-verbal clients. That's seriously cool. Trauma-informed reflexology is a real asset to the future of healing modalities. I'm in the US and I believe reflexologies have quite the role to step um into. I love that. Lovely. That's Thank you so much. That's good, Kate. Um everyone else has got to go. Excellent. All right. So, what I'll do is for those that had weren't able to attend, I will be sending out the replay. You guys can watch it again. And if you have any questions, um just send me an email. It was a pleasure. Bye for now.
