I was um having a lot of health problems and um basically with sort of going from one doctor to the next all they looked at really was the individual problem and not uh my body as a whole. And I felt like I wasn't in control of my illnesses. I I sort of I was my illnesses were ruling me rather than you know I I was able to control things and um so I was looking for an alternative way of dealing with everything and maybe supplementing what I was doing through the normal channels and then I came across reflexology um had always known about it but and and had always been interested but had never really tried it. And once I tried the first time, I felt that it really was something that could work for me because it was looking at the body as a whole rather than individual things that were maybe wrong with me. For the last number of years, I've suffered from a number of illnesses. Um the main one being autoimmune hypothyroidism and next to that adrenal fatigue with similar symptoms to chronic fatigue syndrome me reflexology has done a lot for me. It's made me be able to manage my illnesses better. Made me be able to get out of bed basically in the morning. um and made me feel like I'm in control again of um my situation. It's very important to have a a well-trained and experienced practitioner, especially if you uh are dealing with health issues because they need to understand um what what's going on with you and how they can best treat you uh when you have certain problems. Reflexology has helped me to calm down the symptoms of my illnesses and um helped me to live as normal a life as possible within the parameters of those illnesses. I have regular reflexology treatments. Um and I really notice if I for whatever reason um skip a treatment then the symptoms tend to come back stronger. Um, and I really feel that I need to come back to um, have another treatment done. I find reflexology a lot more comfortable as it's less invasive than maybe some other treatments are as it's just dealing with your feet but it can still treat your whole body.
