hello I'm Tracy Smith and I'm from the association of reflexologist I hope you find these videos really interesting the digestive system classically the digestive system runs across both feet at waist height an internal own around the pelvic area on the right hand side we have the ascending and transverse colon areas at the bottom of the ascending colon there is an area that is related to the appendix and early oseco valve they sit very close together they can be worked quite deeply this is in the lower right hand quadrant of the body where appendix pain can often be felt when we move we caterpillar walk up the ascending colon across the Apothic flexure and into the transverse colon that's up the ascending colon into the hepatic flexure and into the transverse colon the hepatic flexure is the curly corner bit of the intestine underneath the liver hence the name hepatic having treated the large intestine you can crosshatch across the area that would contain small intestine which is a jumble of tubes in this squidgy bit in the middle of the foot cross-hatching should of course be done three times as with all reflexes on the left-hand side of the foot we have the transverse colon the splenic flexure and the descending colon which then passes into the sigmoid colon that's the transverse colon the curly squishy bit and the corner which passes down into the descending colon transverse colon splenic flexure descending into the sigmoid colon and out into the packaging area which would be the rectum again in the middle of this area is the small intestine and this can be cross-hatched in whatever method you use whether that be finger walking or by use of the thumb this area here the lower lower area between the descending and sigmoid colon is often where he may find crunchiness within an IBS situation or with other digestive disorders this can be worked quite firmly to help release and rebalance that area you you [Music]
