thinking about it okay we're all good for life okay can we see it so can everybody see the board real quick we're going to do some board work okay now do re D so what we're going to be doing now is we're going to be dissecting the 60 minute routine and we're going to outline the 60 minute routine so that we just get a refresher of kind of how things follow in order the routine is is difficult oh my gosh you have Anatomy trains this is yours prepare this Myers book that's a nice tube brush Shelly says I see I like a shower everyone has an enemy tree so the so the 60 minute routine is your walk through the woods and what I mean by that is the routine is your ability to walk through each of the reflex areas so that you can feel and see what's happening in those areas yeah that is the only purpose of the routine is to make sure that you walk through all the reflexes and that you get to walk through the entire woods so that you get to see all the things that are happening or like a walk through the zoo so you get to see the Tigers and you get to see the Zebras and you get to see the elephants and the giraffes and the manatees and you know all that jazz like the routine make sure that you hit the entire area of the body however the the main issue that I have right now with reflexology is that a lot of people are spot treating they're saying oh you have digestive issues we're gonna go to the digestive reflexes and work those until you're raw because that's the area that you have the issue instead of walking through the entire park that way they don't see that the Lions are actually humping each other in the exhibit and that's a problem and we need to break that up that not that kind of stuff like weird weird weird stuff so if somebody comes in and they have digestive issues but you realize that all of their and Doe print reflexes are flared up it could be because they're not sleeping well it could be because they just changed birth control it could be because they have a thyroid issue you know so many different things could be affecting the digestive reflexes not just the digestive organs themselves so we need the 60 minute routine to make sure that we stay on a track but what we're going to do after this is we're going to break down the 60 minute routine and then we're going to see if somebody just wants to come in for a half hour how do we cover the reflexes accurately and then we'll kind of chip away and see if we can't get it down to a ten-minute session yeah just because everybody seems to be doing these these shortened sessions so for my experience students what is the first thing that we do in the routine solar plexus adrenal definitely so SP plus AED so solar plexus adrenal point then we would go to the hot towels and then we would go to the relaxation techniques okay so after we've completed the relaxation techniques what is the first reflex that we walk spine then we go to the toes plus the big toe routine anyway the whistle door so lymphatic yep told you steered or slim then we'll do the metatarsal chic and the dorsal valleys and then metatarsal shake again what's the next area the lungs all the foot then what uh yeah um metatarsal head shake no thank you to be digested after the digestive we go back up to the toes and the big toe routine and then after the big toe routine then we moving to what area Achilles the Achilles so we we start addressing all those lower body reflexes so the Achilles tendon effleurage okay after the Achilles tendon what are the services that we walk this is equal reflexes yeah so we do need the medial calcaneus and the lateral calcaneus so we'll do Manitou plus lat calcaneus okay after that then we go to that angle rotation that's coming next now so we do that they hip sciatic reflex if sciatic reflexes dorsal hump and then right notch and then the plantar surface a big deal we finish with the relaxation techniques and then do the relaxation techniques on the other foot repeat start to finish then we would close with hotels solar plexus adrenal this is our list there will be a test Johnson hitting just kidding no tests there are no tests in this program so this is a pretty extensive list of reflexes this is why I give you guys a cheat sheet and the new student handout this is why I've produced so many videos on YouTube and social media like it's a lot to remember not easy but within this set we touch every area even the reflexes that we don't address like manually like we focus a great example would be the uterus prostate reflex around the medial malleolus we don't touch that area because it's really really sensitive and nine times out of ten it will make a client jump off the table it has a nerve running right through it it's just very inappropriate to like push on and jam on but at the same time during the relaxation techniques when we lock into the medial and lateral malleolus and do our military-trained we are stimulating that reflex okay when we pump the ankle during the relaxation techniques we are stimulating that reflex when we do our Achilles tendon effleurage we are gliding over that reflex so even though we are not addressing at some of the some of the reflexes we are touching all of them so it will give you the ability to palpate to feel where these reflexes are located and what is happening within them okay now the way that we would shorten this into a 30-minute routine normally when a client comes in and they are a new client the first thing that I'll do is I will not do the hot towels at the beginning I'll do them at the end if they have really stinky gross sweaty dirty feet you could totally do it at the beginning I personally just like to do it at the end unless their feet are terribly egregious same thing with the other extremities as well I'll only do one set of hot towels so I'll do the hot towels at the end just personally everything else in our beginning set of solar plexus adrenal hot towels relaxation technique that will stay the same okay we will then proceed to the spine because the spine is a very key reflex it is the medial arch of the foot it is where a lot of people have pain it is where a lot of people have dysfunction it is very very important to manipulate manually then we will go to the toes what would be some of the reasons why we would need to keep the toes in a routine knick-knack everybody's complaining about the neck just like the neck and a half sinus really big one also when we think of endocrine we have pituitary pineal in the big toe very very important as well as thyroid parathyroid among the big toe so lots of really essential reflexes in there also brain like skin under Lance super super important for that also when we think of vertical zones of influence you are touching each of vertical zone of influence so back to what Jodi was saying about one toe being longer than the other or two toes being longer same thing at one toe is curled and cramped if one to his colder you will be able to palpate for an indicator of what vertical zones are being messed up okay so just really really quick stuff now the way that I would start eliminating reflexes to walk would be based on what we already touched in the relaxation techniques okay so specifically for our push-pull technique we pumped the lymphatics so dorsal lymph Pingo because we already touched it and so can the dorsal pump okay we also did the sloppy susan's which really manipulates and kind of twists the ball of the foot so we don't need to do the metatarsal head shake or the other metatarsal shakes for the dorsal valleys because we are again doing the push-pull technique we don't need to necessarily get in there as deep however I would keep chest long because the ball of the foot a lot of clients who come in not only for like especially around the face like very very important for zone 2 zone 2 zone 2 on the ears zone 2 is very important not from only from a physical standpoint chest lungs shoulders upper back but also an lymph drainage but also because it's the center of the emotions in in assessment so very important for us to touch the chest lung area because it's physically center of the heart but also internally Park Center yeah ok digestive I would keep because 9 times out of 10 it's going to have a digestive component there are three major there are three major reasons why people fall out of balance number one is diet number two is movement and number three is mental emotional space so if somebody is in eating correctly if somebody isn't moving correctly or if somebody's just skits doubt nervous system eyes those are the three kind of major reasons why somebody will fall out of balance these are also three things that unfortunately we can we can relax somebody we can balance their digestive system we can even move them a little bit manually like move them a little bit but these are three things that are largely out of our control like we can't fix their career situation for them we can't fix their family drama we can't fix you know how much they're eating like we can't shove food down their throat although I've wanted to and we can't move for them like nobody can do your push-ups for you yeah so when somebody comes in like these are the three things that I would definitely keep in mind just psycho vomit then we have digestive toes and big toe we already did so we can erase that we already touched it the Achilles very obviously diets partnering for people just kind of keeping the routine in that same order just eliminating things in between so I get the three major reasons it's just they're kind of like a triangle like each of them are each of them are pretty much important they're on par but they definitely form like a cohesive group issues like when my when my ladies come in with with messed up menstrual cycles it's these they're not moving their diet sucks and they're stressed out they're got up their minds you know so it's it's it's that when a client comes in it's always the factors that I can't touch you know diet would include medications things that are there physically ingesting so like birth control pills that same thing with like water intake you know any medications that they're doing blood pressure pill I've seen who people on that baby aspirin what people don't know about aspirin is that it's it's a severe base so when the body takes an aspirin and the body has to produce more acid to counterbalance the base it starts to erode the stomach lining so it's like people on a consistent drip of specific medications it will start to affect the other systems as well so it's like all of this starts to you know and then for movement standpoint if the body isn't moving lymphatic aliy if it's not moving circulatory wise not only is a compromising muscle function hormone balance and all the other things sleep cycles but it's also retarding the body's ability to flush out bad stuff so these three things like definitely the the core core issues Achilles tendon we also touch during their relaxation techniques with our I he'll twist so we palpate that area a retail rotation rather so we don't need to touch that area and we're gonna get we're gonna make some exceptions to the rules here in a minute because who doesn't like a rule breaker and calcaneus same thing we touch it we at least assess it through the relaxation techniques hip sciatic we do with military training again with the medial mech medial and lateral malleolus cuboid notch is an issue because we don't necessarily touch it during this session so if you wanted to come back to that you totally could but for simplicity sake we'll erase it and then plant our aspect that they heal we touch through the heel rotation as well so if somebody wanted to come in for a 30-minute session admin this is what I would do solar plexus adrenal relaxation techniques then spine toes chest lung digestive finished with relaxation techniques move to the other side with hot towels at the ends I've timed it pretty much to exactly a 30-minute session okay passing free times I am okay because I know with finger walking you can do one pass this is doing it exactly the way that I outline it in the routine now here's how we would shorten it even more is by tinkering with yeah the passes so main thing that you want to focus on I'm gonna make this board rainbow at the end of it is a concept that I like to call clearing the zones so basically what you want to do is with each area you want to at least pass it once in order to both physically assess but also to clear it to send an impulse through that area to let the body know that it needs to check up on that area and add it to its kind of inventory list yeah so if you only have the question that everybody loves to ask is if there was one reflex point that you could possibly press what would it be solar plexus but I advise against it because if somebody's only giving you like one reflex point to Pratt shame on them they need to relax and like let let you work on them right so you know if it's a whole bunch of things I know if a client is like take away my headache with one reflex point I think it doesn't work that way how long has that headache been brewing in your nervous system and you want me to take it away like that I'll do it you know you know there are people that will inject you with a bunch of crazy chemicals that will knock you on your butt and make you feel nothing and I'm sure that they could do it in under five minutes you know but at the same time you know it'll it'll wreck your liver so when we think of somebody coming in for a routine that is minimal I would say ten minutes would be the minimum that I would do and this would very much be like five minutes on each foot outside at an event or an even like I said triage so if somebody is complaining of a specific issue and you're in a public place you often can't get their shoes off so you're going to be accessing another extremity you won't have access to hot towels most of the time you could do the relaxation technique if you want it but it's not essential you don't mean to separate the big toe you could just include it with the toes so just doing the pass on each toe including the big toe at chest long digestive and that I would also do heel now why would I do that so solar plexus an adrenal just the points to start and stop a session really key very much how acupuncturist would take the pulse this is how we would take pulse not necessarily in terms of like lung meridian and liver meridian like all that jazz but this is how we at least say you know these are our points that tap us into the nervous system and lock us into somebody what somebody else is feeling and you'll be able to feel a pulse you'll be able to feel the levels of tension you'll be able to get kind of into their system that way so solar plexus an adrenal spine which if you really wanted to you could do three times but you could always limit the number of passes based on time toes normally during a session we would do three times each toe you could limit it to two or one depending on time chest lung area you're just walking in line with each toe you could do that once digestive normally we would do three horizontal houses from five to three and then go vertical you could skip out the horizontal classes and just do one vertical pass in line with each toe make it quick and then you could go to the heel and not do the horizontal passes but just walk in line with you toe what this does is you are clearing zone one you are clearing zone two you are clearing zone three and four and five do you see what I did there you were at least touching had a neck chest and shoulder upper digestive lower digestive low body and that is the minimum that I would do plus our two pulse points so solar plexus adrenal spine and toes chest lung upper lower digestive heal on one foot same thing on the other foot finish with solar plexus adrenal that is a 10-minute routine so I have found the dorsal pump so basically like with when you're doing the push pull push pull I'll go all the way down so I add the relaxation techniques yeah I don't necessarily walk the digestive I do it with the push-pull and then you know I don't walk so and I do one pass on the toes so it comes out to about ten minutes but I try to stimulate each reflex hears and that's the key is you just want to touch everything once right minimum you just want to go over at once you just want to light up that nerve innervation once that's the minimum if you wanted to breeze through this alter it in some way and then go to a reflex that you know somebody is having trouble with cuboid notch is a perfect example if somebody has a knee issue there's that triangular shaped cuboid notch that has the knee quad hamstring and calf muscle reflex in it which I talked about in the in the online homework that triangle for my runners for my sciatica patients from my plantar fasciitis patients for all our clients rather for my low back people all of that super significant so if you wanted to just breeze by and make sure that you're at least touching just to make sure they don't have a head issue they don't have a chest shoulder issue they don't have a digestive issue they don't have a low body issue and then beeline for the reflex that you know is going to make the most difference what I want you to be careful of is skipping around because that's when reflexologist get lost and that's they're like I don't know why my reflexology isn't working and I say because you're doing it by somebody else's book and not by the body's dictation the body will always tell you what needs to happen and when and why if you listen and the routine is just to make sure that you visit every exhibit to make sure that you can take inventory and say is the digestive system the source of the problem is it the endocrine glands is it a directly spasmodic or injured muscle no if you're a limited time would you go through all the reflexes and then go back to the area that you felt was the most in need okay but not John just stay there cuz you could run out of time exactly you just it's it's time budgeting yeah this is the big thing same thing with if you wanted to extend a session into a 90-minute so the reverse you know if a playing or two hours you know that is that is the cap that I will do right now I have a 90-minute session but I have clients who request two two and a half hours at a time just because they're greedy but when a client comes in and I'm like well I have a 60 minute routine how do I do this you can always go through that routine twice you could always pinpoint specific reflex areas you could always do an hour of manual work and then do 30 minutes of coaching an assessment and actually take them out of the treatment room and say look this is what I found physically mentally and emotionally we need to talk about this what is your diet like you know put on the coaching hat and say this is what I found does this make sense is there something you you know are struggling with that I can maybe help point you into the direction of various resources and talk to you about the benefits of going to see a mental health professional the benefits of going to see a chiropractor the benefits of going to get a lymphatic drainage massage you know all of the things that maybe would be appropriate for that specific person well I think it said that like she was conveying with her bike I couldn't understand she didn't know a lot of English right so I knew I wanted to start with face and she got really excited well even at the end when she was leaving and I found the stomach stuff she was telling me that she loves doughnuts when she was leaving and she was going for the basket of candy and she goes and I'm like okay here's another thing that tied into the beginning what I found like everywhere in her feet and her hands and her face and now it looks like this interesting so she then at the end she was speaking it and I'm thinking oh my what I think I didn't have because she was leaving and going out her door but I figure crumb Wednesday because this is the first session with her I'll know more and like I said there's a language barrier so I have to pay attention to the body language yesterday come in and they were talking about how they had this terribly chronic condition and then it's incurable and it's autoimmune and like all the things that clients love to tell us and the the only thing that I'm seeing is like the digestive reflexes have literally been carved out with an ice cream scoop like there is no meat there is no tissue whatsoever like you are dietarily disposition as all get-out that is where you need to focus like I could press on your buttons all day long and it might be super relaxing for you but there is no fuel in your tank I got a couple of those what did you eat today did you eat today and she's like oh my had I had us and I had some I and she because she's she's working on working towards me and she she goes but I had a smoothie for lunch because if I eat something for breakfast I have a smoothie and I said that's not food and neither his protein bars and she's on your new produ grows like just sorry and but she got but she's like no no no but I'm trying to lose I'm trying to lose weight no you don't need to lose weight you need to your stomach what your stomach is telling your stomach reflux is telling me there's nothing there and it was like I mean just so like shooting pain and numbness in the balls of the feet which for us is chest area so very much physical chest tension but also emotional so she comes in and again ice-cream scooped out the digestive reflexes her body was she was moving she was active like her muscles were so tight but her her muscles were like constricting because they didn't have the chemicals that they needed in order to like perform properly so she comes in and the one thing that I say is we need to get some fat in you pronto like the nervous system which is glitching because you're having shooting recurring pain needs fat in order to survive so what you need to do is you need to integrate oatmeal which has a lot of healthy fats first thing in the morning a tablespoon olive oil and coconut oil throughout the day you know get as much healthy fat and he was humanly possible and you'll notice that the nervous system won't glitch on you and she called me and she said I don't know how you did that magic but I did what you said and the foot pain stopped no neurologist will tell you that because they're not trained here don't know they're trained to give an injection you know at the source of pain but if it's coming from the inside out and we see that dietary deficiency that's one of our triangles she was moving she thought that she was okay stress wise like she said you know I'm normally a basket case but right now it's weird I'm good but my or not and so was dietary so just know like listening to the reflexes which is also the danger of doing a quick section is you don't get a chance to feel but if you wanted to make sure you feel everything that make sense okay we'll wrap up the live video and that then we'll take a break at all
