reflexology has been around for thousands of years hieroglyphics were found on the wall of the Physicians tomb in Egypt dating around 2,330 BC and reflexology was even used in China India and Inca civilizations and it was until about 1930 when Dr William Fitzgerald he was an ENT from America he discovered the Chinese method of healing and he brought it to the Americas there were several people who studied under him one was Unice inim and she thought she was working on the re the nerve reflexes of the feet and so she termed this therapy reflexology and she also wrote a book in the 1930s 1940s called the the stories that the feet tell Hannah Mar Hort a German and Dr Charles erds doll from Norway researched the entirety and it was Dr erall that felt that the entirety was most important working all the body systems together and it is through his research and through his findings that we through our technique use foot Zone therapy what is the difference between reflexology and foot Zone therapy do erall believed that all the body systems work together for instance if one system is out of balance like the digestive system then another system would be negatively affected thus Dr zall's technique works all the body systems whereas reflexology focuses on just a few points of the foot Dr zall's work was thorough and succinct yet he used invasive pressure to force the signals to change and since his passing students under his tutelage have found that using medium pressure to gently persuade the signals to engage would help the body heal naturally and effectively so with family foot reflexology the entirety is still must when it is convenient and when there's time to be able to do a full 45 minute session reflexology is just working on specific points of the feet especially say for instance a child who has an ear infection late at night and it's hard to do a full 45 minute foot zone so that is when we use reflexology and we work just specific points of the foot and then send that child back to bed whereas the next morning when the child wakes up you can do a full 45 minute Zone to help work all the body systems together and to accelerate that healing
