hello I'm Bill Flaco from the American Academy of reflexology with headquarters in Los Angeles California let's take a look at what reflexology is reflexology is of the natural study at first and science and eventually becomes a part of using touch in specific ways on images of the human body that are superimposed on the feet hands and outer ears so for example if we take a look at this foot reflexology chart the toes help bring relief for issues in the head and neck the ball and pad of the foot help bring relief for issues in the chest and shoulders and if you look here you'll see the liver and stomach reflexes so they soft sole of the foot some people call it the arch helps bring relief for discomforts in the upper abdomen and the lower soft sole and heel of the foot helped bring relief in the lower abdominal and pelvic area and what's quite fascinating is if you look at this chart if you looked at the phenomenal correlation of the shape of the spine superimposed on the bottom of the foot and that's the spinal reflexes on the inner side or what's called the medial side of the foot also here you'll notice that the arms and leg reflexes on the outer edge of the foot so that's for foot reflexology so what reflexology is is taking like a photograph of the human body shrinking it down a top on the feet shrinking it down on the hands shrinking it down even more on the ears and you have this complete image of the human body on the feet hands and outer ears so we use our touch in specific ways on the feet hands and ears and that's what reflexology is I'm bill Flaco from the American Academy of reflexology in Los Angeles California
